Conversations with Cohen

Dj had to go to Indianapolis this afternoon for an overnighter. This afternoon/evening was a STRUGGLE.  I felt like Cohen did absolutely nothing that I asked him to do.  I decided to take him and Vivi up to bed around 7:30.  They both have had colds and going to bed seemed like a great idea.  We got upstairs and I took Vivi in to lay her down.  When I came out to put Cohen in his bed he said, "Mommy, wait, don't go in my room.  It's a surprise."  So I waited.  He took me in and said, "see, I made my bed for you!"

I forgot the stress of the day.

He can be so darn sweet.  I love the way he folded back his duvet cover.  The way he knows his Mama does it :)

I told him he could sleep in my bed since Daddy was going to be gone.  I was closing the blinds upstairs and he said, "make sure you lock all the windows Mom."  Little man, taking care of the house.

I turned on a cartoon for him in our room and told him I was going to take a bath.  He said, "Again!?"

I said, "what do you mean again?  I don't think I've taken a bath in 3 days.  I am dirty!"  Cohen says, "no you're not.  You're perfect!  Your hair, your face...We need to work on those cracks in your feet though. You know how I wear shoes Mommy?  You need to wear shoes and then that won't happen.."

These are those mommy moments.  The ones that make me feel so happy that I get to be here, at home, no missing any moments.
